Yes. All worksites, builders, councils, and principal contractors require it. Liability protects you if your work causes injury or property damage to a third party.

Many job sites require $10m and is the industry recommendation, while government and commercial contracts often require $20m. Smaller domestic-only tradies may be fine with $5m, but it depends on your risk and who you work for.
