Yahava Koffeeworks voted best coffee shop in Perth

The votes are now in and Yahava Koffeeworks has been selected as the best coffee shop in Perth.

Readers of PerthNow picked the Swan Valley business over four other shortlisted opponents as part of the newspaper’s Hot List competition.

Established in 2001, the shop also offers a wholesale service that provides coffee products to other cafes, restaurants, retail outlets and corporate offices across the country.

Yahava beat off stiff competition from Jessie’s Cafe in Myaree, which had to settle for the runner-up place, while Trigg’s famous establishment Yelo came third.

Wembley and Cockburn’s Mooba Espresso Bar and Cafe landed fourth and the Antz Inya Pantz Coffee Company in Victoria Park rounded out the top five.

The shortlisted cafes were selected through Facebook votes before being posted on PerthNow for the final showdown.

The popularity of cafes and coffee shops has continued to rise in recent years, particularly in Australia’s CBDs.

Jane-Frances Kelly, director of the Grattan Institute’s Cities program, said cafes provide an important role in bringing people together in the big cities.

”You create new knowledge and innovation by interacting with other people. It’s no surprise there are lots of cafes near where there is knowledge-based economic activity,” she explained.

”This part of the modern economy needs access to places where people can bump into each other and meet informally, and cafes are perfect for that.”

However, even Australia’s best coffee shops require comprehensive cafe insurance to ensure they are covered in unforeseen circumstances.

Whether its equipment breakdowns, injuries or even natural disasters, you can rest assured your policy will give you full protection.

Bruce Insurance specialises in providing tailored cafe insurance in Perth, including public liability cover, equipment protection and building cover.

Our services reflect the idea that all cafes are unique, so we avoid a one-size-fits-all approach.
